"My practice is no better than your practice. Perfectly imperfect."

Welcome to Studio Eight

Holistic Wellness Studio in the heart of Wells.

Holistic Wellness Studio
in the heart of Wells.

  • We are a community-based studio and holistic wellness centre offering Yoga, Pilates, psychotherapy, coaching, sound healing, meditation, wellness workshops and retreats together with a variety of community events

Our ethos is simple, just come as you are.

No pressure, no judgement, just acceptance, support and inclusion. We encourage you to leave your ego at the door, open your mind, open your heart, enjoy the space and the community within it.

We're not perfect, and we don't expect you to be either.

  • Nat Winterson

Nat is our Yogi, our Therapist, our all round fountain of knowledge, our Guru! She brings all of the skills and will be hosting a lot of our timetabled classes and workshops. Contact us to join one of Nats classes or if you are interested in 1:1 Yoga or counselling.

    Louise Noble

Louise runs the day to day, planning, organising, marketing, logistics! She has years of experience in trying to "have it all". Precariously walking the work, life, relationship, health, family tightrope.. managing it like a boss at times, and at others, failing miserably!

  • Over everything, we want to make wellness accessible, human, and cut through the jargon to bring you the bits you need and nothing that you don't.

We plan to offer a range of  classes and workshops all designed to help you to be your best self.

Yoga and Pilates will form the heart of the timetable, with regular workshops, seminars, talks, community events and more. We might talk about nutrition, or stress management, menopause, dealing with anxiety, parenting, mental wellness as well as physical wellness. We are here to look at the whole.

We can offer counselling, coaching and also 1:1 sessions.

  • Eight is an important number in many cultures and is seen to be somewhat symbolic in that it also represents the limitless, the infinite, eternity. Yoga is structured around eight limbs, each one playing a vital role in the steps towards divinity. Samadhi, the Eighth limb, translates to 'bliss' or 'enlightenment'. It is basically the goal of yoga, and is referred to as nirvana in Buddhism.

We can also use the number Eight to summarise the many pillars of wellness. Our studio aims to provide a holistic approach, and in doing so we plan to cover all Eight pillars in one way or another. Attention must be given to all the dimensions, as neglect of any one over time will adversely affect the others, and ultimately one’s health, well-being, and quality of life. There is not a need to balance these pillars perfectly, but to increase our awareness only assists in us making steps towards making improvement.

    The Eight Pillars of Wellness Include;

Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Social, Intellectual, Vocational, Financial

    and Environmental.

Look out for classes, workshops, seminars and social content bringing these pillars to life.

Natalie Winterson

Nat has been teaching since 2021 and practicing Yoga in its many forms since she was in her early 20's. Not always a huge fan of the movement part! Especially in the early days of practice.

Since having her own challenges with anxiety and CPTSD she found the benefits of Yoga in her mid 30's and used it as a tool to cope with the ebbs and flows of life. She is not naturally flexible and does not have a background in gymnastics or dance. Nat is a regular person, with regular capacity and a commitment to to consistent practice. She has become disillusioned by the picture social media paints of Yoga. What Yoga is? What it looks like and the ego that is present in some teachings.

Becoming a teacher wasn't ever a part of the plan, however since sharing beautiful practice and philosophy with others who have their own struggles it has become  a passion.

Coming from Psychotherapeutic background with a degree in Psychology and diploma in Psychotherapy, spending over a decade working with young people and adults navigating their way through addiction and mental illness, combining all of the tools she has into what seemed like a natural step.

Nat uses Yoga in its entirety when teaching a class or working 1-1 with a client, moving beyond the Asana (positions) and working with you as a whole. Body, mind and spirit.

Spiritual Optimist.

Louise Noble

Creative Perfectionist

Louise comes from a totally different perspective to Nat, you could say the Yang to Nat's Yin. Louise has spent over 25 years working in a corporate environment in executive leadership.

As a working mother of two + one (blended families!) Louise has spent many years trying to have it all, to keep pace with colleagues, to be a great mum, to be a great wife and friend and drink enough water and have a clean house.. you know the drill. However for Louise the impact of this was three major physical and emotional burn outs resulting in changing jobs, and in this instance walking away from a 25 year career to follow a new path.

Louise is passionate about helping women to understand that they are not alone. For Louise the studio is an opportunity to create a safe space for women to escape their day to day, to make human connections, to share with others and to learn coping skills whether that be in the form of organised movement through Yoga or Pilates, or simply by learning a new creative hobby to provide some respite from the day to day.

The studio is an opportunity to create a supportive inclusive community, a one that maybe could have caught Louise before she hit the low point.

Louise will be taking care of running the business day to day. She will be there to support with sales and marketing, recruiting new exciting practitioners and keeping the timetable full and exciting!

She will be the one trying her best to keep Nats feet on the ground, while Nat will be daring her to dream...
